THUNDERSTORMS 4- Thunderstorms just miss area shortly before noon only .01" of rain fell. Big Thunderstorm 7-8pm was preceded by ominous black sky and very pronounced Mammatus clouds boiling downward very tornadic looking sky. Wind gusts to 31 mph, Very heavy downpours with 1.11" falling. Some sharp close lightning. 5- A few storms pass close by today around noon and 4pm but only a trace of rain fell. 6- Just after 5pm some dark clouds, wind gusts to 30 mph and a light shower of .01" fell. 13- Some Light rain and showers between 7:30am and noon. Another brief Shower around 6pm. Rainfall was .10" 14- Brief light shower around 2:30am .02" HOT / THUNDERSTORMS 16- RECORD HIGH OF 100 F. Beats old record of 97 in 1900. 17- Not as Hot today but still very oppressive high of 94 F. Clouds kept the temp down. A Heavy thunderstorm 6:00pm - 6:30pm produced .44" of rain with wind gusts to 35 mph, also some sharp lightning. More showers this evening 8pm & 11pm-midnight. Total today .54" 18- Showers and thunderstorms midnight -1:30am, Some drizzle this morning 7:30am - 10am total .30" Cleared out late this morning and became very nice. 19- Mostly cloudy & cooler today. 20- Periods of rain today began around 3am. The Heaviest rain fell between 3am and noon. Most ended by 4pm. Total today .80". 28- Some Thunder & Lightning all around the area between 2am -3:30am but no rain fell here. Dark sky and thunder to NNE around 3pm but no rain. The Summer Average Temperature was 73.3 F. (Normal is 73.0)
