SNOWFALL 4.8" 2nd: Cloudy today. Wet snow fell late this afternoon through late evening 4.8" total. Snow sticking to everything and very beautiful. 3rd: Few flurries overnight and again this morning. Mostly cloudy all day high 39 F. Some strong NW winds this evening gusting to 32 mph. 4th: Partly cloudy high 40 F. SNOWSTORM 21.0" 5th Largest for February. 6th Largest all time for any month. 5th: Light wet snow began around 11am. Snow gradually became steadier and heavier during the afternoon as temperatues dropped. 4.0" on the ground by 6pm. Snow during the evening moderate to heavy at times with increasing ENE winds gusting to 25 mph. 9.0" inches by midnight. Good bit of blowing and drifting snow late this evening. 6th: Snow of varying intensity overnight with gusty NNE winds with blowing and drifting snow. 16" inches on the ground at 7am. Snow continued to fall throughout the morning. Snow ended around 2pm. Final snowfall total was 21.0" Water content total was 1.45" This was the 5th largest snowstorm for February. The all time record was 31" in 1899. This was the 6th largest snowfall on record for any month. The all time record was 34.9" Jan. 7-8th 1996. 7th: Very cold low this morning of -4 F. Mostly sunny today high 30 F. 8th: Very cold again this morning low of 6 F. Bright & sunny today high 34 F. SNOWSTORM 17.4" **++ NEW RECORDS SET++** 9th: Another very cold morning low of 7 F. Some light snow began by 11am. Snow fell throughout the afternoon and evening moderate at times. Some sleet fell for a short time this evening. New snow at 6pm 4.0" 8pm 6.3" By midnight 9.0" 10th: Periods of light snow fell overnight only 1.5" fell between midnight - 6:30am. Snow became heavy after 7am and winds rapidly increased with gusts to 30 mph. 8am 13.2" of new snow. Blowing and drifting of snow. Snow fell all day moderate to heavy at times with some occasional gusty NW winds to 33mph. Snow ended by 8pm. 8.4" fell since midnight. Total from storm was 17.4" inches. There is about 29 inches on ground total from other storms. **++This storm brings the monthly total to 43" which is a new record for February and for any winter month. The old February record was 34.8" in 2003. The old all time monthly snowfall record was 42.9" set in January 1996. 11th: Some gusty NW winds overnight to 32 mph with some blowing and drifting snow.
